Thursday FINAL Draft outfit

Today I pass in my final thesis draft and run around ALOT so I wanted to look nice for internship but also be able to high step in at any time...

Writing, Interviews, and Meetings Oh My!

Another busy day in a crazy week is upon me and I am looking forward to some serious break time (sadly I will not be blogging then) but when I come back I will have some new items, a rested smile, and the determination to ROCK the rest of the semester!

Today I have a lot to do so I chose items I love and work well including my on sale floaty dress top, black pants, and suede shoes.

A day in Queens Outfit

Today I head into the real world once more after battling the 19th century ailment of Conjunctivitus and then a throat infection. Despite these set-backs I am ready to plunge back into internship (for at least a few hours) and into a new outfit!

Today I am wearing an older dress I bought at Wet Seal. This is a dress I wore for my 22nd birthday and my graduation so it is one that has befitted many happy occasions. I also have a plaid blazer for the office. I accessorized it with a blue sash, two necklaces (long and short), my Sprout watch, and some earrings!

As for shoes I chose my Turquoise wedges to against the graphic black and white print.

Tip of the Day: Pull out an old favorite and make it new with accessories!

Boiling in my clothes outfit

It is HOT here

Not just that I need a fan hot but the I can't find relief without AC and I am sweating in my Urban shorts HOT.

Anyhoo it was hot and I wanted to be comfortable. The tricky think is the balance between boiling outside and freezing inside. I was working from the library yesterday and it was freezing in there. My choice was to embrace the cold and be prepared for the heat and still look good!

Yesterday I wore my blue jean skirt, belted with an Ann Taylor Belt, my printed tank-top from Old Navy and DSW platforms. My accessories were simple - my Sprout watch, long whistle necklace from Falling Whistles.

I think I managed to survive the heat, and onto another scoarcher.

Fun Fridays!

So this is the end of my first week of a new schedule and I have had a fun week of hanging out, trying to beat the heat, and good clothes! As the weekend approaches I wanted to wear jeans, so I went for jean shorts to be comfortable as well as beat any sun or heat that may come.

Today I am wearing some basic items. I am wearing a pair of jean shorts that were given to me a few years back by my friend Caity. On top I am wearing a stripped t-shirt from H&M that is very old but still is a go-to item. Then to top it off and stave off the cold office I am wearing a blazer from H&M that is boyfriend style and printed. For jewelry and accessories I am wearing my interesting whistle necklace from "Falling Whistles" a non-profit that helps kids who were child soldiers in Africa. I am also wearing my pink watch that needs a new battery but still looks cute and a sash belt to make the mid-section look more interesting. For shoes I am wearing my jean-style platforms.

Tip of the Day: Wear a nice pair of jean shorts with heels it will go from day to evening fast!

Marathon Mondays!

Hello All!

Today is a relatively quiet day besides work and some baking! So today, since it is more than slightly chilly I wore a printed long sleeve shirt with an accompanying belt and a printed black and white long blazer with it. To add print, to well more print, I also wore comfy plaid blue pants rolled up to show some cute (but rarely worn) black and white flats from H&M. I a big fan of crazy colorful prints. I think that if your wear different colors and types it can look right but at times personality plays a big role in wearing something crazy. I seem to be labeled kinda kooky so me wearing colorful or off-beat clothing does not seem like a stretch.

Saturday, a day of semi leisure

Because you all know I never really sit back and relax I tend to take "days off" as just "days that I do life things." But today I did enjoy myself at the farmers market, Target, a brunch, and out with my boy. Here is my first weekend outfit sans work!



So today I wore casual wear, meaning more movement oriented shoes, jeans (something I rarely wear) and t-shirts.

Now I own quite a few pairs of jeans but I was the casual friday girl who NEVER wore jeans even though I have skinny, dress jeans, and even red and green jeans! Anyhoo so I wore this very soft blazer with kimono style tie. I am giving a shout out to my lady HB and it is amazing how soft and comfortable it is. I used a different belt than the one it came with and it is one of my favorite sashes. The t-shirt is from Urban Outfitters a few years ago and it can be tricky to wear because of the low v-neck. The pants are also urban from god knows when they are older than I can remember but they are teal skinny jeans, worn in until super buttery soft. Skinny pants have been in style for awhile so SAVE them because they will become soft and easier to wear as well as in style.

The necklace is very dear to my heart. It comes from an organization called Falling Whistle http://www.fallingwhistles.com/ that helps provide support for those in Africa who traditionally were on the front lines of violence and only had a whistle to warn the others before being killed. With a donation you can receive a necklace like that engraved, or not, and show support for the organization as well as wear something that bears larger political and social importance.

I have to say I also had a night outfit for a dinner with my boyfriend but I got too lazy to take more photos, again I am sure you will see those outfits.

BUT I did get a sweet purchase today. I will say it is a men's sweater vest on sale at Forever 21. You may shake your head but it looks great with a belt :)
