My Best Friends Wedding Part VIII - An Excuse to Get My Vintage On!

 On Saturday I attended the wedding of one of my besties from grad school.  She and her sweetie have been together since they were 16 and I was so excited to attend their wedding.  I actually got back from a 10 day trip to Israel on Thursday so I was totally jet lagged but it was still totally worth not extending my trip to attend such a special event!  I was also super excited for this wedding since it was an excuse to break out my vintage dress.  I found this dress at Wasteland on Haight Street in San Francisco and had to buy it.  It has always fit like a glove!  Throughout the day the dress was paired with various things:  A trench and flats to ride the train over to meet up with friends and go to the wedding together, a blue cardigan and heels to make it Church appropriate, and finally just the dress and heels for the reception!  Overall the wedding was amazing and the dress was perfect for the occasion!

An HB Find: Wasteland

Wasteland is fabulous consignment store on Haight St. in SF. Not only is it in the center of the vibrant and historic Haight Ashbury neighborhood, but it also has great clothes.

The dress at the top came off of the vintage rack. The one below came off of the designer rack. I had the amazing luck to find both dresses on the same day! On top of how awesome the dresses are, their prices were also fantastic. The blue and green vintage dress that fits perfectly was only $27 and the one shouldered dress is a Nanette Lapore, which was a steal for $75.

Wasteland also sells some new clothes as well as just regular second hand clothes (not vintage or designer). My old roomie always used to admire the vintage concert tees. She found an awesome pair of Frye boots there for only $40 on the same day I got my dresses. It was a magical day at Wasteland for sure. Even if you don't buy anything at Wasteland its always fun to check out the racks. There is always an amazing blend of clothing and shoes to check out.
