All Things Purple

Lately everything in my life seems to have turned purple.  It wasn't something that I consciously did, it just sort of happened, but it happened nonetheless.  I notice these phases in my closet every few years.  Sometimes its blue, other times green, and now it seems to be this grayish purple.
Hand me down from a bestie!
New purse, Kate Spade and brighter then expected but still some serious love.
Purple pencil skirt - who could resist?  Oh J. Crew I love you!

Warm Winter Weather

After a almost a week of being in bed with strep throat I finally felt well enough to get up and run some errands.  Lucky for me if was actually a pretty warm and sunny day for January.  Since it was such a nice day, I dared to wear a skirt without tights.  But to ensure I didn't freeze, I paired it with a wool sweater and boots with high socks.  Overall I really liked this outfit.  It was comfortable, casual and easy, but more then just jeans and a t-shirt.
I love that this skirt has pockets!  Both the skirt and the sweater are from the Gap!  Are you surprised?  You shouldn't be!

It was my good friend Starfish who introduced me to the Frye brand.  I have never looked back!
I put together this top and skirt because I really like how the dark purple and the dark red look together.  These are definitely two of my favorite colors!
Sweater: The Gap this season, $30  Skirt: The Gap three seasons ago, $20  Boots: Frye, $140  Sunnies: Kate Spade, gifted

Long Weekend!

During the post-Thanksgiving long weekend I went down the coast of California to Santa Cruz to visit my bestie Moueff.  We had so much fun hanging out and being silly.  This outfit is from Friday night when we went out.  For this night, Moueff and I actually traded tops.  She bought this one while we were in Vegas a little over a year ago  I loved wearing it.  It has really cool grecian draping.
We also straightened my hair before going out.  I almost never do this, but it makes me feel like a whole different person not to have my curly hair.

Shirt: Borrowed from the Moueff  Tank and Jeans: The Gap  Jacket: Gifted from my parents  Shoes: L.L. Bean  Purse: Kate Spade

The next day after delicious brunch and a girly movie we walked along West Cliff by the Ocean!  It was amazing weather for this time of year!

Special Thanks to Moueff for taking these pictures as well as being such a good friend.  I had such a blast on my visit!

Sunday was a day of errands and a return to real life after the lovely Thanksgiving break.  I broke out my Marc shirt for a laid back day

Princess Fiona decided to hang out with me in the back yard.  She doesn't match my outfit today, but that didn't stop me from schnuggling her!
