Wet, Warm Wednesday

I love alliterations but I do not love humid, wet weather, which is all we have gotten this summer! Despite the weather, it is another day of clothes!

Today I wanted something light and easy so I can complete all my errands comfortably. I found this top as my friend Emma was clearing out items as we moved. This is the first time I am wearing it to we will see how it survives the day.

The rest of my items are Ann Taylor Loft shorts, TJ Maxx sweater, and H&M shoes.

Happy Wednesday!

Working Wednesday

Hello!

So today is a rush to the library for a few hours to clarify some ideas and work on assignment. As always I try to look funky, even will while furiously at the computer.

Today I am wearing one of my favorite tank-tops from a flea market. I paired that with a blue jean skirt and a ton of fun accessories from rings, necklaces, and of course my loyal Sprout watch. For shoes I decided to go a bit more crazy and wear my Lela Rose platforms, they are fun, colorful, and not too bad to walk in.

Tip of the Day: Pair some fun shoes with a more basic outfit. Let yourself shine from head-to-toe!

Outfit:
Tank: Flea Market ($8)
Skirt: H&M ($12)
Shoes: Payless ($20)
Watch: Sprout ($20)
Bracelets, rings, and necklace: flea market, gifted, and found ($10)

Back to the Grind: Monday

Hello everyone,

Again I apologize for my lack of posting last week. I hope to make up for it with some fabulous outfits this week!

I scored some major deals in Boston and I am very excited to show them off to you all.

Today is a pretty good day weather-wise but long in terms of me being out from 9am-9pm! I also decided that as Fall approached it is time to bust out some layering but with light fabrics because despite the September arrival there can be warm afternoons and no one is liking an outfit doused in sweat! I am wearing three different items with a striped pattern on them. The skirt underneath is a Jersey skirt from Express and I love the way it twirls and makes a dramatic effect. For the top I chose a basic blue and back striped tank-top and for the dress I chose a gauzy summer throw-over dress belted to show off the waist and bring structure to all the flowy items.

For accessories I went basic with a found beaded necklace, a gifted star necklace, a blue sash for my belt, my ever-important Sprout watch, and my Payless wedges.

Happy Monday all!

Tip of the Day: Stripes can work for an outfit depending on the strength (boldness) of the stripe and how they are used together. Try verticals with horizontals, small stripes with bold and wide ones!

Outfit:
Dress: H&M ($10)
Tank: Wet Seal: ($5)
Skirt: Express ($10)
Shoes: Payless ($20)
Watch: Sprout ($20)
Necklace (beaded): Found by my dad ($0)
Necklace (star pendant): Gift ($0)

Labor Day Weekend: Saturday

I had a deeply relaxing rest and ready for some errands! Ah Saturday a day of bargain hunting for food and fresh treats at the farmers market.

I am excited for the hunt but not for what seems like a sticky day. So I wanted to keep it pretty simple but add some interesting details to make it more me. Today I am wearing my favorite yellow shorts from Wet Seal. The button is broken and I like to use a fancy pin to be like a button but a bit more exciting. With that I am wearing a very old Urban Outfitters t-shirt with a key-hole opening in the back. I paired that with a vest because as much as I like to look good at the Farmers Market I do not want to be revealing amongst the veggies.

As for accessories I chose my snake bracelet, Sprout watch, flea market pendants with a found strand, and my Urban Outfitters beige platforms. I almost forgot my headband! Also H&M for cheapie price of $4 for three!

Tip of the Day: Wear an interesting print t-shirt with basics. It will add personality to any outfit!

Outfit:
T-Shirt: Urban Outfitters ($28)
Shorts: Wet Seal ($20)
Vest: H&M ($15)
Shoes: Urban Outfitters ($10)
Watch: Sprout ($20)
Necklace: Found and Flea Market ($10)
Bracelet: Urban O ($20)
Pin: Flea Market ($20)

Thursday: tasting the end of the week coming

(Smile its Thursday!)

It is Thursday! It has been a busy week and I am happy to see it come to a close but nevertheless I wanted to look interesting and fun today for my internship and the race to complete a few errands before my brother comes for the weekend.

I decided some sort of vest was in order so I chose a Vintage button vest that a friend gave me in a swap. Underneath I am wearing a basic v-neck t-shirt and a beaded pouch necklace found (yes found) by my Dad.

For bottoms I decided on shorts and borrowed colorful wedges. For accessories I have the usual Sprout watch and my orange clip-on earrings. I am taking a risk on the earrings (because of my allergy) so we will see how long they last today.

Tip of the Day: A vest does an outfit good, purchase diverse vests because, like an accessory, they can make or break an outfit.

Outfit:
Vest: Vintage, gift ($0)
Shirt: Urban Outfitters ($4)
Shorts: Urban Outfitters ($10)
Shoes: Borrowed ($0)
Watch: Sprout ($20)
Necklace: Found ($0)
Earrings: Flea Market ($10)
