A day for failed, and some successful bucket list NYC happenings!

Today was beyond wet in New York. When your flats, hair, purse, arms, ears, whole body is immersed in water one can say that you had a New York shower... and then you run and have a real one.

After a day of trying to go to the Whitney Museum of American art (fail), H&M (success), and Red Rooster in Harlem (success). I say that today, and my outfit, were successful!

Score one for patterns!

I have returned from the Land of Cambridge/Boston, so I apologize for the lack of blog posts or, sadly, new clothes from the land of MA. However my hometown is also the home of unseen PEP clothes and haircuts! So I may not have new clothes but my hair is short!!

A "pant"astic day!

So I have been in love with patterned pants (if you have not already seen) and I saw these at the Ann Taylor Loft and had to get them! So they were originally $60, which is too high for me but a day later the Loft had a 40% everything sale, so patterned pants here I come!!

Hello! Today is a busy day again with running back and forth from Manhattan and then a lovely beer and snack time with one of my favorite (and fashionable) friends!

Teacher for a Day!

So today is a fun one because I am presenting my thesis to a class of Masters students so I am teaching to people my own age! I wanted to look good, classy, and fun so I combined some comfy items, cashmere sweater, with my funky patterned pants.

The scarf is a great one I got at H&M last summer, it is so light but is great for layering!

Wednesday Colors and Prints

Hello all!

It is finally sunny again and it is time to bring out the big fashion guns, which to me is brights and patterns. Notice that every piece I am wearing is either brightly colored or patterned. This attests that one can never have too much color or pattern!

Velvet and Purple Giraffe Print

I know kind of crazy right? But for a dreary day like today Purple Giraffe Print is very much needed. Today is cold and cloudy out but at least our clothes can be a little sunnier!

Today I wanted to wear my older Wet Seal shirt because of the color/pattern and some more basic items like my black tuxedo style Gap pants. To stave off office chills I chose my velvet gray coat, a gift from a dear friend of mine at Bard.

Friday Mix-Up

Today is a warm day and since it is nice out I wanted to look fun but since I am giving some work tours I have to also look professional.

I achieved that with some fun details and a slightly more conservative skirt (for me at least)

Bright Colors for a Sunny Day!

It's March and its in the 70s....Despite my urge to go all Global Warming on this I decided instead to hold in my need to scream sustainability, put on a dress and a smile!

Today I am wearing one of my best finds, a Marriemeko for Target dress. To put some edge and sophistication to this I put on a blazer and some closed toe suede wedges.
