Yoga

On Wednesdays if I can get of work on time I go to yoga!  Usually this means I take my blog pictures before work, but this morning was a hectic morning and I didn't have time.  So this isn't so much of a fashion post as a post about what I look like most Wednesday nights.  Today was a nuts day at the office so the yoga was a total must!

I don't actually do yoga in my scarf but I do wear it around to stay warm after wards.

Plans

Today I needed an outfit that went to work as well as dinner after.  So I went for my basic black dress with fun accents.  I really like how the sweater, dress, belt, tights and shoes came together.  There was a lot going on, but hopefully it wasn't too overwhelming!

Conservative

Today my outfit ended up being last minute and in the words of my genius cousin "pretty conservative."  The outfit I had planned was not working this morning so I had to improvise.  I really like how it looked overall (and that I found my gray tights), but I don't call her a genius for nothing, this outfit was pretty conservative.

Long Weekend!

During the post-Thanksgiving long weekend I went down the coast of California to Santa Cruz to visit my bestie Moueff.  We had so much fun hanging out and being silly.  This outfit is from Friday night when we went out.  For this night, Moueff and I actually traded tops.  She bought this one while we were in Vegas a little over a year ago  I loved wearing it.  It has really cool grecian draping.
We also straightened my hair before going out.  I almost never do this, but it makes me feel like a whole different person not to have my curly hair.

Shirt: Borrowed from the Moueff  Tank and Jeans: The Gap  Jacket: Gifted from my parents  Shoes: L.L. Bean  Purse: Kate Spade

The next day after delicious brunch and a girly movie we walked along West Cliff by the Ocean!  It was amazing weather for this time of year!

Jeans and Scarf: the Gap  Shoes: L.L. Bean  Sweater: BR  Purse: Kate Spade  Sunnies: Mosely Tribes

Special Thanks to Moueff for taking these pictures as well as being such a good friend.  I had such a blast on my visit!

Sunday was a day of errands and a return to real life after the lovely Thanksgiving break.  I broke out my Marc shirt for a laid back day

Princess Fiona decided to hang out with me in the back yard.  She doesn't match my outfit today, but that didn't stop me from schnuggling her!

Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving I broke out my striped vintage Ellen Tracy skirt to celebrate Thanksgiving.  I loved how it looked with my dark purple t-shirt and teal shoes.  My genius cousin commented that she was impressed that I had pieces that perfectly matched this skirt.  I hope everybody had a great thanksgiving filled with loved ones and delicious food as me!

Casual Wednesday

The Wednesday before Thanksgiving is the casual Friday of the week.  As I was leaving the house, my marm commented that my outfit was very casual.  But then when I got to work, one of my co-workers said I looked like I had walked out of an Anthro catalogue!   How sweet is that?

This morning I could not figure out what I wanted to wear.  I tried on several different tops with these pants and nothing felt right.  Finally when I was running about 10 minutes late I went for this combo.  I really liked it in the end.

Layers

Winter has arrived in the Bay.  Today I attempted to adapt my summery J. Crew shift into a winter piece.  It sort of worked.  I liked the look of the long sleeved black shirt and dark green tights with the dress, but when I went out of the building at lunch it was freezing.  Although I am not giving up on this dress being a transition piece, I think I will have to wait for a slightly warmer day to break it out again!  Either that or some serious boots will have to be brought in!
